A collaborative, strength-based approach to change
While having practiced since 2011, I have retired from teaching marriage and family therapy at Fairfield University, and have been exclusively devoting my time to seeing private clients since 2023. I approach every individual, couple, and family based on my belief in their inherent goodness and understand symptoms as having a benevolent purpose. This perspective usually feels like a breath of fresh air to my clients who have been repeating patterns, and hearing the same "advise" in individual treatment.
I acknowledge that some problems are biologically based, yet I approach my clients with curiosity about how their problems have developed and been maintained in their most intimate relationships. My strength-based, approach to psychotherapy, life experience, and advanced clinical training in Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Relational Life Therapy position me well to help you and your loved ones achieve the changes you most desire.
